Everything sucked into this site is classified under a set of tags. Tags might be considered categories or keywords; they are sometimes either and sometimes both.
Categories
Every once in awhile I end up using the same tags very frequently and so I'm inclined to give them prominence. Here's a list of the tags that get the most play. Almost everything on this site fits under one of these guys:
- Coding (RSS)
- Stuff about programming and software development.
- Free Culture (RSS)
- News and ramblings on the ongoing Free Culture movement. This includes such topics as patent and copyright reform, Creative Commons licensing, the Free and Open Source Software (F/OSS) movements, and a variety of other stuff related to the recent phenomenon of people deciding to help each other by promoting the free and open sharing of knowledge, art, and ideas without corporate or government control.
- The Web (RSS)
- This is a kind of catch-all category for topics around web design, web services, and just cool and innovative stuff people are doing with this amazing piece of technology we call “The Web”.
- Politics (RSS)
- Coverage of various political topics.
- Diversions (RSS)
- Other stuff. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes scary, but always a good waste of time.
